I'm Shavonne!

What will you find here? Well, bits and pieces of my life, my interior design projects from university, our DIY projects that will inspire you, and LOTS of laughs. 

Currently, I am studying Interior Design at Yorkville University. Before I decided to take on the challenge of university with two little boys at home, I was a hair-stylist for 10 years. After my second maternity leave I knew that I needed to pursue my true passion for design, and I haven't looked back.

I've been DIY-ing since I was a kid. I like to make EVERYTHING! Seriously, you name it, and I've probably have tried it. If I haven't tried it - let me at it! Our projects don't always go smoothly, but we share many laughs about our DIY flops and mishaps. In fact, you might learn what NOT to do here just as much as you will learn HOW to. (It's just a full-blown comedy show around the bungalow most days!)

My husband and co-star of the bungalow is Mr. Fix-it himself, Stuart. Together, we have two little boys, Marshall and Ted. (Yes we know, their names are just like the show 'How I Met Your Mother'). We love teaching our boys the importance of being grateful for what you have, making the best out of your space, and with a little hard work you can make any home your dream home.
